In Fall 2016, the Berkshire Innovation Center and Berkshire Community College (BCC) held an event that featured the College’s newly acquired advanced manufacturing equipment, including a full color, multi-material 3D printer and a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).  Over the past months, BCC faculty and Industry representatives have been trained on all aspects of equipment programming and operation and have developed curriculum to train at the operator level.   BCC and the BIC are thrilled to announce the following training opportunity that will be offered in Fall of 2017 at no charge due to a U.S. Department of Labor Grant.*

Solidworks/3D Printing Operator Training

This forty-eight (48) hour workshop is designed for the entry-level user for both Solidworks and 3D printing technology and will be a prerequisite for individuals who wish to use the new 3D Printing and CMM equipment at an operator level.   Participants will construct 3D models for rapid prototyping, and then print their projects. PREREQUISITE:  A basic understanding of the Windows platform is required.   A working knowledge of blueprints is helpful for this course.

Instructor(s):  Mark Lausier/Bob Mossman            COST:  No charge.
