The ServSafe Manager Certification is a food safety credential that verifies a person's knowledge and skills to manage food safety in a foodservice operation. The certification is offered by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) and is accredited by the American National Accreditation Board (ANAB).
The certification is intended for restaurant owners, managers, and employees who are responsible for food safety in the workplace. It can help protect against foodborne illness, reduce liability risks, and improve food quality.
To earn the certification, you must pass a 90-question, multiple-choice exam with a score of at least 70%. You can expect to receive your exam results within 7–10 business days and can print your certification from ServSafe. The certification is valid for five years.
