Ecopsychology studies the interconnectedness of humans and the natural world by bridging the gap between ecology and psychology. It looks at how the balance and health of the human body and mind reflects the health of the environment, and vice versa. This area of study is for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of the roles the human species play in our natural environment. It is especially helpful for those interested in fields like environmental education and advocacy, healthcare and healing, and social services. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to recognize different patterns in which we engage with the environment and how that affects our bodies and psyches as well as ways one might challenge the typical worldview in order to live more sustainably. Recommended books: Ecopsychology by Theodore Roszak – isbn: 9780871564061 and Animate Earth by Stephan Harding – isbn: 9781900322546.
